KBP BroadcasTreeing 2012

KBP “BroadcasTreeing”. Some 1,200 persons composed of students, representatives from different national government and non-government agencies, local government of Bulan, Sorsogon and media practitioners participated to the one-day tree planting activity of the Kapisanan ng mga Broadcaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) Sorsogon Chapter on August 18, 2012 in Brgy. Bonga, Bulan, Sorsogon. The activity is to fully support the National Greening Program of the national government with the objective of planting and growing billion of trees until 2016. Through this activity, the KBP took advantage of the power of the broadcast media in echoing the message of the government. (BARecebido, PIA Sorsogon)

KBP “BroadcasTreeing”. At least 10,000 trees were achieved by the Kapisanan ng mga Broadcaster sa Pilipinas (KBP) Sorsogon Chapter in partnership with the DENR-CENRO, DepEd and the Rapu-Rapu Minerals, Inc. to be planted in the mountainous area of Brgy. Bonga in Bulan, Sorsogon on August 18, 2012. Dubbed as “Oplan BroadcasTreeing”, this activity is a response to the government’s call for the National Greening Program to plant 1.5 billion trees covering about 1.5 million hectares of uncovered land by 2016 and towards stronger public-private partnership.
