PCCE Conducts Meeting In Donsol

SORSOGON PROVINCE, June 24 – The Provincial Council of Community Elders (PCCE) headed by its Chairman, Mr. Fernando O. Duran Jr. met on June 20, 2012 at People’s Hall in Donsol town, this province with the theme: “A Responsive Community Towards the Attainment of a Safe/Peaceful Place to Live, Work, Invest and Do Business”.

The activity started with an invocation followed by the singing of Philippine National Anthem; opening remarks delivered by PSI Diosdado O. Melitante, OIC of Donsol Municipal Police Station (MPS); message of the Vice Mayor of Donsol, Hon. Emeterio Belmonte Jr. on behalf of the Municipal Mayor; presentation and orientation of delegates and panelists by Mr. Antonio Arellano, the Municipal Council of Community Elders Chairman of Donsol; and message of Hon. Raul R. Lee, the Provincial Governor who focused his message towards the attainment of a peaceful community and boosting the tourism industry in Donsol, Sorsogon. 

Further, the activity was followed by a workshop of the participants composed of fifty-one (51) Brgy Captains of Donsol respectively, members of PCCE and Municipal CCE. The participants were divided into groups to come up with list of problems, issues and concerns in the implementation of the theme. 

Each group presented their output and was subjected to reactions and critics of the panelists composed of Hon. Governor Raul R. Lee; Hon. Vice Mayor Emeterio Belmonte Jr.; PSSupt John CA Jambora, Provincial Director of Sorsogon Police Provincial Office (SORPPO); Mr. Antonio Arellano, MCCE Chairman of Donsol;  and Ms Imelda Gabionza, Municipal Local Government Operation Officer.

Said activity was also attended by PSI Eliza D. Paje, Chief PCR/PIO, personnel of Donsol MPS and Lt. Col. Teody Toribio, Batallion Commander of 31^st IB, PA. The moderator of the said activity is Mr. Joaquin Atayza. (SPPO/PIA Sorsogon)
