DAR Photo Release

DAR’s “Radyo Agraryo”. CARPO Lucy S. Vitug, head of BDCD (Beneficiaries’ Development Coordinating Division) and her staff while airing DAR Sorsogon’s radio program heard throughout the province of Sorsogon in 102.3 DZGN-FM.  Radyo Agraryo is already 15 weeks on air every 7:00-8:00 in the evening on Sundays. Radyo Agraryo is not just DAR’s program but also a “long-distance-education” for Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs). Through the coordination of the Municipal Agrarian Reform Officers (MAROs), the ARB-enrollees were given notebooks and pens where they write their answers to every quiz given during the airing of Radyo Agraryo. The MAROs check their notes monthly and those who got perfect score receive incentives from DAR. “We selected the timeslot on Sunday evening so as not to have conflict with any teleseries or TV news which our listeners used to watch,” said CARPO Lucy. The program is a very effective medium in providing information and educating our farmers. (AJA, DAR/PIA Sorsogon)
