Three suspects of Illegal Activities, Arrested in Masbate

CASTILLA, SORSOGON, Feb 10 (PIA) – Joint elements of Charlie Company of 9^th Infantry Battalion and COLP 963, 9MIB, and Cataingan Municipal Police Station led by PSI Josefino C Titong Jr, OIC, apprehended suspicious persons while conducting operations against illegal activities at vicinity Brgy Malobago, Cataingan, Masbate on February 4, at around 9:30 am.

The three (3) persons who were on board an M/B Edlyn motorboat are identified as: Eduardo Orcales Y Mahinay, 51 yrs old, married; Salvador Pepito Y Belen, 19 yrs old, single; and Roy Prudenciado Y Cadenas, 19 yrs old, single. All are residents of Brgy Mataluto, Tagapul-an, Samar.

The authority recovered from their possession, control and custody were two (2) pcs of keel wood locally known as “Kasko” and one (1) cal. 45 pistol with make: Armscor with serial number 1220533 and license number 107839611923554 which will expire on October 11, 2014 with two (2) magazines.

Cataingan MPS filed a case against the suspects for violation of PD 705-Illegal Logging and Violation of RA 8294 in relation to COMELEC resolution number 9561. (Cpt Marj P. Panesa, PA/PIA Sorsogon)
