Aktibidad pangkalikasan tampok sa pagdiriwang ng Philippine Independence Day

LUNGSOD NG SORSOGON, Hunyo 12 (PIA) – Nakatutok ang mga opsiyal ng pamahalaang lalawigan ng Sorsogon partikular na ang pamahalaang bayan ng Bulusan sa pagdiriwang ngayong araw at paggunita sa ika-115 na selebrasyon ng Araw ng Kalayaan ng Pilipinas.

Tampok sa pagdiriwang ang mga aktibidad pangkalikasan tulad ng Bulusan Volcano International Skyrun Conquest, kung saan sa halip na ordinaryong pagtakbo sa lansangan ang gagawin, ang mga kalahok ay tatakbo paakyat sa isang bulkan. Nakilahok dito hindi lamang ang mga lokal na mananakbo kundi maging mga dayuhan din. Kauna-unahan itong ginawa sa bansang Pilipinas.

Ginawa din kanina ang Eco-Trail adventure na may 21, 10, 5 at 3 kilometrong kategorya. Nasa ikatlong taon na itong ginagawa sa bayan ng Bulusan sa pangunguna ni Mayor Mike Guysayko.

Ang dalawang malaking aktibidad na tinagurian nilang “Thrills in the Trails to the Max,” ang napili nilang itampok sa pagdiriwang ngayong ika-115 na Araw ng Kalayaan ng Pilipinas na nakapaloob din sa pagdiriwang ng Environment Month.

Ayon kay Mayor Guysayko, bago matapos ang kanyang termino bilang alkalde ng Bulusan, nais umano niyang mag-iwan ng legasiya at nais niyang nakatuon ang legasiyang ito sa pagmamahal at pangangalaga sa kalikasan. Ang maganda, maayos at ligtas na kapaligiran ay nangangahulugan din umano ng tunay na kalayaan laban sa mga panganib at hagupit ng kalikasan.

Dagdag atraksyon din ang kasalukuyang Miss Philippines Earth at ang 2012 Miss Earth Air at Miss Philippines Fire na nakiisa sa ginawang aktibidad sa Bulusan. Naroroon din si ABS-CBN managing director at tagapagsulong ng mga adbokasiyang pangkalikasan Ms. Gina Lopez.

Ayon kay Provincial Tourism Officer Cris Racelis, malaking tulong ang presensya ng mga ito sa pagsusulong ng bayan ng Bulusan bilang isang pangunahing eco-tourism destination ng Sorsogon at sa patuloy na proteksyon at pangangalaga sa Bulusan Volcano National Park (BVNP) at sa palibot nito kasama na rin ang isinusulong na National Greening Program (NGP) ng pamahalaan. Miss Earth beauties makikiisa sa pagdiriwang ng Environment Month at Independence Day sa Sorsogon

LUNGSOD NG SORSOGON, Hunyo 11 (PIA) – Bibisita sa Sorsogon ang tatlong naggagandahang Miss Philippines Earth upang makiisa sa pagdiriwang ng Environment Month ngayong Hunyo at ng Independence Day bukas.

Sa ipinadalang impormasyon ni provincial Tourism Officer Cris Racelis, inaasahang darating ngayong tanghali si Miss Philippines Earth Angelle Delos Reyes kasama si Miss Earth Air 2012 Steph Stefanowitz at Miss Philippines Fire 2012 Thoreen Halvorsen para sa unang bahagi ng kanilang responsibilidad bilang Miss Earth na tinaguriang “Fun Moments with Philippines Earth”.

Itinaon ang pagbisita ng naggagandahang mga dilag mula Hunyo 11 hanggang 13, 2013 upang makiisa sa mga Sorsoganon sa pagdiriwang ng Environment Month at ng Independence Day. Tinawag ang kanilang aktibidad na “Bicol Projects Familiarization at Bulusan Eco-Trail and Skyrun”.

Kasama din ng mga binibini ang sikat na environmentalist at ABS-CBN managing director Ms. Gina Lopez sa pagbisita sa Sorsogon.

Kabilang sa mga aktibidad nito sa lalawigan ay ang pagpunta sa Sorsogon City Pier at Tree Planting Activity sa deklaradong Mangrove Reforestation Site sa Brgy. Gimaloto, Sorsogon City.

Sa hapon ay magkakaroon ng familiarization trek sa palibot ng Bulusan Lake at magsasagawa din ng inspeksyon sa lugar na posibleng pagtayuan ng Eco-Academy Center sa bayan ng Bulusan, Sorsogon. Makikipulong din ang mga ito sa mga prospek na benepisyaryo ng Beekeeping, pili oil at iba pang produktong galing sa pili at  produktong coco coir.

Makikiisa naman ang mga bisitang binibini sa pagdiriwang ng 115th Philippine Independence Day sa Hunyo 12 na gaganapin sa Bulusan, Sorsogon sa pamamagitan ng pagbigay suporta at inspirasyon sa mga lalahok sa Skyrun at pagsasagawa ng Trek patungong Ranger Station.

Iikot din ang grupo sa iba pang mga ipinagmamalaking lugar ng Sorsogon tulad ng Crystal Springs, Masacrot Springs at Fulo Springs. Isang magandang relaxation din ang naghihintay sa grupo kung saan bibigyan din ito ng pagkakataon para sa 45-minutong hot spring theraphy bath bago ito tuluyang bumalik sa lungsod.
