Suhestyon ng mga mamamahayag pinuri sa isinagawang presscon ng Kasanggayahan Festival

LUNGSOD NG SORSOGON, Oktubre 5 (PIA) – Naging bukas ang Kasanggayahan Foundation, Inc. (KFI) at ang pamahalaang probinsyal ng Sorsogon sa pagtanggap sa mga suhestyon mula sa mga lokal na mamamahayag ng Sorsogon nang sa gayon ay higit pang maging matagumpay ang gagawing pagdiriwang ng Kasanggayahan Festival ngayong taon.

Sa isinagawang press conference para sa Kasanggayahan Festival 2012, ilan sa mga nabigyang atensyon ng mga mamamahayag ay ang partisipasyon ng lehislatibo sa paglatag ng mga aktibidad, pagtuon ng karagdagan pang pansin sa mga organikong magsasaka, pagdodokumento ng mga natatanging produktong agrikultural ng lalawigan ng Sorsogon, pagalingan sa pagluto ng “linangtang” pili at pagkain nito, karagdagang literacy contest maliban sa “rawit-dawit” at iba pang mga suhestyong may kaugnayan sa sining.

Bukas-loob namang tinanggap ang mga suhestyong ito ng dalawang panig at ayon sa pahayag ni Sorsogon Provincial Management Office Executive Director Sally A. Lee na siya ring kinatawan ni Sorsogon Governor Raul R. Lee, masaya siyang mayroong mga nagbibigay ng suhestyong katulad nito lalo pa’t sinisimulan na rin nilang pagplanuhan ang 5-year development plan para sa Kasanggayahan Festival at ang mga suhestyong mula sa iba’t-ibang sector ng komunidad sa Sorsogon ang hinihintay nila upang maging participatory ang gagawing pagpaplano ng nag-iisang festival ng lalawigan ng Sorsogon.

Hiniling din ni KFI President Msgr. Francisco Monje na maging kaisa ng Kasanggayahan Foundation, Inc. at ng provincial government ang lokal na media sa pagpapaabot ng tamang impormasyon sa publiko nang sa gayon ay maiwasan ang anumang mga agam-agam, pagkalito sa mga aktibidad bagkus ay makapagbigay ng inspirasyon sa publiko at hikayatin ang mga ito na makilahok at suportahan ang aktibidad at tunay na maipakilala ang Sorsogon bilang lupain ng Kasanggayahan at maipakilala din sa lahat ng mga Sorsoganon ang tunay na layunin ng pagdiriwang ng Kasanggayahan Festival.

Samantala, binigyang-diin din ni Msgr. Monje na hindi lamang nakatuon ang pagdiriwang ng festival sa promosyong agrikultural kundi hindi dapat makalimutan ng mga Sorsoganon ang pasasalamat sa Panginoon sa likas na yaman at biyayang ibinigay niya sa Sorsogon. Tatlong misa umano ang dapat na sabay-sabay na ipagdiwang tulad ng Misa sa pagbubukas ng aktibidad sa Oktubre 8, 2012, als syete ng umaga sa Capitol Grounds, , Pilgrimage Mass sa Gibalon, Magallanes sa Oktubre 13, 2012, alas-otso ng umaga at ang Thanksgiving Mass sa Oktubre 17, 2012, alas-otso ng umaga sa Capitol Grounds bilang pagtatapos ng aktibidad. Grupo mula sa PNP General Headquarters, nagsagawa ng taunang inspeksyon sa mga kapulisan ng Sorsogon

LUNGSOD NG SORSOGON, Oktubre 5, 2012 (PIA) – Dumating noong Lunes, Oktubre 1, 2012, sa Kampo Escudero, Sorsogon ang grupo ni Police Superintendent Feloteo A. Gonzalgo at Police Senior Inspector Ronald Allan Tolosa ng Philippine National Police General Headquarters upang magsagawa ng Annual General Inspection/Operational Readiness Security Inspection Test and Evaluation (AGI/ORSITE) sa lahat ng kasapi ng kapulisan sa syudad at probinsya ng Sorsogon.

Ayon kay Police Community Relations Public Information Officer Police Chief Inspector Nonito Marquez, isinailalim sa masusing ebalwasyon ang mga yunit ng kapulisan upang sukatin ang kahandaan ng mga ito sa pagtugon sa ibat-ibang uri ng insidente tulad ng Hostage Crisis Management, pagdepensa ng kampo, Fire Drill, First Aid at iba pang sitwasyon.

Kabilang rin sa misyon ng AGI/ORSITE ang pagrekisa sa lahat ng mga kagamitang isinuplay ng gobyerno sa PNP upang matiyak na maayos itong minamantini at pinapangalagaan.

Sinabi pa ni Marquez na sa panghuling bahagi ng aktibidad ay sumalang sa pagsusuri ang mga record section upang malaman kung maayos na naipapatupad ang mga derektiba,  proyekto at  mga programa ng PNP hanggang sa pinakamaliit na tanggapan ng pulisya sa probinsya ng Sorsogon.(FBTumalad,PIA Sorsogon/PCI NMarquez,PNP-CPCR/PIO)

Field Trip sa lahat ng paaralan, pansamantalang ipinatigil ng DepEd Sorsogon

LUNGSOD NG SORSOGON, Oktubre 5 (PIA) – Halos taon-taon ay nakasanayan na ng mga paaralan sa Sorsoogn na magsagawa ng taunang field trip o educational tour bilang requirement sa mga mag-aaral at masilayan ng mga bata ang lahat ng magagandang tanawing makikita sa Naga City, Albay at iba pang lugar sa Camarines Sur.

Subalit matapos mapabalita ang insidente ng pagkalunod ng dalawang mag-aaral ng Cebu International School sa Bataan noong Setyembre 13, 2012 ay kagyat na nagdesisyon ang Department of Education (Deped) Central Office na ipatigil ang pagsasagawa ng mga field trip sa lahat ng pampublikong paaralan sa buong bansa.

Matapos ito ay agad ding nagpalabas si Sorsogon Deped Schools’ Division Superintendent Salvacion Espidido ng kahalintulad na derektiba sa lahat ng mga school heads na nasa ilalim ng kanyang pamamahala.

Maliban sa hindi na sila magbibigay ng permiso sa mga pampublikong paaralan na nagbabalak pang magsagawa ng field trip, yaong mga field trip na una na nila umanong pinayagan ay kanila na ring sususpindihin.

Ayon sa opisyal, naniniwala siyang maganda sana ang layunin ng Educational Tour at Field Trip sapagkat nagkakaroon ng ibang karanasan ang mga mag-aaral at lumalawak ang kaalaman ng mga ito pagdating sa mga pook-pasyalan at historical sites, subalit nagiging lantad naman ito sa mga panganib lalo pa’t kung malalayo ang mga lugar na pinupuntahan.

Sumang-ayon din ang opisyal sa suhestiyon ng karamihang stakeholders na mainam na lamang na makipag-ugnayan ang DepEd sa Department of Tourism Regional Office na makunan na lamang ng video ang mga pamosong destinasyon sa buong kabikolan at ito na lamang ang gawing palabas sa mga paaralan.

PESO Sorsogon nakatakdang tanggapin ang parangal bilang Regional Best PESO Award

LUNGSOD NG SORSOGON, September 27 (PIA) – Nakatakdang tumulak sa susunod na linggo patungong lungsod ng Baguio si Provincial Public Employment Services Officer Lorna T. Hayag upang tanggapin ang pagkilala bilang Bicol Regional Best Provincial Employment Services Office 2012.

Ayon kay Hayag, nakuha nila ang ganitong pagkilala dahilan sa epektibo nilang pagpapatupad ng mga programa ng Public Employment Services at sa tagumpay nila sa larangan ng pagtulong sa mga Sorsoganon na makakuha ng trabaho hindi lamang dito sa loob kundi maging sa labas ng bansa.

Maganda rin umano ang nabuo nilang samahan at pag-uugnayan ng Sorsogon Techinical Educational Skills and Development Authority (TESDA) para sa iskema ng jobseeker match at job vacancies upang makakuha ng maayos at magandang oportunidad na makapagtrabaho ang mga Sorsoganon.  

Sa ilalim ng pamamahala ni Hayag bilang PES Officer sa superbisyon na rin ni dating Gobernador ng Sorsogon at ngayon ay Executive Director ng Sorsogon Provincial Management Office, Sally A. Lee at ng kasalukuyang Gobernador ng lalawigan Gov. Raul R. Lee, nakuha ng PESO Sorsogon mula 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011 at 2012 ang “Search for the Best PESO” provincial, regional at national award.

Sinabi din ni Hayag na positibo silang makukuha nila ang Hall of Fame Award bilang Best PESO sa buong Pilipinas dahilan na rin sa tatlong sunud-sunod na Outstanding Performance ng PESO Sorsogon.

Dagdag din niya na noong nakaraang taon, sa isinagawang quarterly meeting ng PESO association sa lalawigan ng Catanduanes, nagpasa ng isang resolusyon ang mga opisyal ng PESO sa buong rehiyon para sa institutionalization ng lahat ng tanggapan ng PESO sa bansa.

Samantala, Hinikayat ni Provincial Public Employment Services Officer Lorna Hayag ang mga Sorsoganong nais makahanap ng trabaho na magsadya sa kanilang tanggapan na matatagpuan sa ikalawang palapag ng Kapitolyo Probinsyal.

Aniya, ang mga Public Services Office (PESO) ay isang tanggapang akreditado ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) na tumutulong sa mga mamamayang nais makahanap ng trabaho alinsunod sa kanilang kapasidad at kwalipikasyon.

Paliwanag din ng opisyal na kung sakaling malayo sila sa kapitolyo ay maaari ring magsadya sa mga PESO sa kani-kanilang mga munisipyo upang makakalap din ng kaukulang impormasyon at tulong kaugnay sa mga programang ipinatutupad nito. (BARecebido, PIA Sorsogon)

The Bicol 2012 Essay Writing Competition on the The Living Legacy of DILG Secretary Jesse Robredo

I.           RATIONALE

To honor the late Secretary Jesse Robredo’s exemplary governance as mayor of Naga City and head of the Department of Interior and Local Government, an essay writing competition was proposed to be held in the Bicol Region.

Dubbed as the “Bicol 2012 Essay Writing Competition on the Living Legacy of Secretary Jesse Robredo.” is very timely to recognize the late secretary, who inspires many local leaders in the country, as such various sectors of the society had considered him as one good man in the public service.

The contest, with the theme “The living Legacy of Secretary Jesse Robredo," aims to honor Sec. Robredo for his achievements in service.

It also aims to attract youth participants to motivate them to choose the right path.

II.        PROJECT OBJECTIVES

1.   To highlight the exemplary service of the late Jesse Robredo as Mayor of Naga City and chief of the DILG.

2.   To inspire local leaders in the Bicol Region and country as well to advocate for good governance.

3.   To inculcate in the minds of the youth Jesse Robredo’s legacy as a good public servant and leader.

4.   To train the youth in their skills in writing.

III.     MECHANICS

1.   The contest is on-the-spot essay writing focusing on the theme “The living legacy of the late Sec. Jesse M. Robredo” in English.

2.   The competition has two categories: Category I-High School (3^rd to 4^th year HS) and category II- College level (1^st to 5^th year) both in private and public schools in the Bicol Region.

3.   There should be one participant in each school/college (secondary/tertiary) endorsed by the school administration.

4.   The endorsed participant must fill-up an entry form available at the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) V office in Legazpi City, Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) provincial offices, Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and Department of Education-provincial and city division Offices.

5.   Deadline of submission of entry form together with the endorsement of school head is on or before the scheduled provincial elimination as follows:

6.   During the provincial and regional competition, students are required to wear their school identification card and prescribed school uniform.

7.   The contest will be good for three (3) hours.

8.   The entries for the secondary level must contain not less than 800 and not more than 1000 words while for the tertiary level, all entries must contain not less than 1000 words and not more than 1500 words using English as official language and in cursive form.

9.   The organizers will draw a common topic for the secondary and tertiary category during the provincial and regional screening.

10.  Contest sheets will be provided by the DepEd for the secondary, while for the tertiary/college contestants will be provided by the CHED. No other sheets will be allowed.

11.  The provincial elimination will be handled by the DepEd, CHED, PIA, DILG and Kaya Natin Movement and supported by the provincial government concerned. Judges will come from the said stakeholders.  The DepEd representative will serve as the chairperson of the provincial elimination while the DILG representative will serve as word counter.  Winners will be informed a week before the regional competition. The awarding of the provincial winners will be on December 8, 2012 during the regional competition.

12.  The suggested program of activities for the provincial elimination will be- in the morning (Cam. Norte, Albay, Catanduanes and Masbate) the registration will start at 7:30am and ends at 8:00am, while in the afternoon (Cam. Sur and Sorsogon), starts at 12:30pm and ends at 1:00pm. The program consists of – preliminaries, opening remarks, video presentation- life of Jesse M. Robredo, intermission number c/o DepEd, and mechanics presentation.

13.  The winners (Rank 1) in Category I and II in the provincial screening will compete at the regional competition slated on December 8, 2012, 8:00 am at the SM Naga. Five (5) sub-topics will be given during the regional competition from the main theme such as but not limited to- “Tsinelas” Leadership, Religious Life, Transparent Life-Full Disclosure, Seal of Good Housekeeping, and Empowerment.  The Department of Education (DepEd) is the concerned agency for the identification of the sub-topics.

14.   This will be followed by the awarding of winners at the said venue.

15.  The Regional competition will be handled by the DepEd, CHED, PIA, DILG and the city government of Naga. Regional Judges include: DepEd, CHED, Kaya Natin Movement, City Govt. Of Naga, DILG, PIA and Atty. Leni Robredo.  Grace Padaca and Bam Aquino will be invited also as other members of the regional judges.

16.  Winning essay will be published at the Bicol Harvest Magazine.

Participants and coaches at the provincial and regional level will receive certificate of participation.

Judges at the provincial and regional level will receive certificate of participation and tokens.

V.Criteria for Judging:

The essay must be written in English during the on-the-spot essay writing competition. It must contain a minimum of 800 words and a maximum of 1,000 words for High School and 1,000 to 1,500 words for college.

The entries shall be judge on the basis of the following criteria:

a.   Substance, content, originality, analysis and adherence to the essay theme- 60%.

b.   Logic, organization and coherence- 20%

c.   Style and presentation- 20%

       All decisions of the organizers, judges, related to the contest, the selection process and the selection of winners, shall be final and unappealable.
