International Coastal Clean-Up 2012

“Bayanihan Para Sa Karagatan”. About a hundred of participants from Sorsogon Police Provincial Office, Provincial Public Safety Company, Sorsogon City Police Station, national and local government agencies including residents joined the Coastal Clean-up Drive at Pier Site, Brgy Talisay, Sorosogon City on October 5, 2012. The activity spearheaded by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources/ Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) Sorsogon was in connection with the celebration of the 27th International Coastal Clean-up. The celebration marks a unified action on coastal cleanliness and proper management towards a clean seawaters and preservation of marine habitat in the province of Sorsogon. Different stakeholders advocate the theme of the celebration to awaken participation of the community in the campaign of the government on coastal management and clean environment.
