Butchered Dolphin. Two heads of butchered dolphins were recovered by Pilar PNP on Tuesday, April 26, in Brgy. Bantayan, Pilar, Sorsogon. Authorities are now to file a case against the two suspects identified as the mastermind of the said heinous incident. The slaughtered dolphins to have belong to Melon-headed whale (Peponocephala electra) specie has a dark body color and white lips. The ideal way of validating this is to determine the number of teeth. The melon-headed has 20-26 pairs of teeth in both upper and lower jaws. (BARecebido/PIA Sorsogon/ Photo: Joey Gois)
