Rare sea turtle species sighting in Ragay. A leatherback turtle (Dermochelys coriacea) commonly found in the Atlantic and nests in Gabon, Africa was found in Tagbak, Ragay, Camarines Sur on January 12, 2012 by Jonito Rodeo. It was tagged and released the next day thus bearing the ID number PH0656E. It measures 204 cm from head to tail. A paucity of information on sightings in the Philippines makes sea turtles tracking difficult. (Photo by Andres Salvador Genio)
