95 na bahay sa GK Village Guinlajon tuluyan nang naipamahagi


LUNGSOD NG SORSOGON, Hunyo 15 (PIA) – Tuluyan nang naipamahagi noong Miyerkules, Hunyo 13, 2012 ang dalawampu’t limang (25) bilang ng mga housing unit na bumuo sa siyamnapu’t limang (95) mga kabahayan ng Gawad Kalinga sa Barangay Guinlajon, West District, Sorsogon City.

Sa pangunguna ni Sorsogon City Mayor Leovic Dioneda, opisyal nang naipamahagi ang huling bilang ng libreng pabahay sa mga residente ng lungsod na walang sapat na kakayahan upang makapagtayo ng sarili nilang mga bahay.

Bago ginawa ang opisyal na pamamahagi ay nagkaroon muna ng banal na misa, pagbasbas ng mga kabahayan at maikling programa.

Sa mensaheng ibinigay ni Mayor Dioneda, mariin nitong pinaalalahanan ang mga residente na pangalagaan ang ibinigay na tulong sa kanila at mantinihin ang pagmamahalan ng bawat isa, panatilihin ang kaayusan at kapayapaan, at palaguin ang anumang nasimulan ngayon sa tinatawag nilang munting komunidad ng Gawad Kalinga.

Dumalo at saksi din sa turn-over ceremony sina Association of brgy Captain (ABC) President at Brgy.Guinlajon Chairman Jaime Lagco, Ticol Brgy Chairman Rolando Jaso, City Councilor Charo Dichoso, Senen Malaya ng Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Sorsogon at iba pa.

Nagbigay din ng testimonya ang mga benepisyaryo ng GK Housing project kung saan isinalaysay ng mga ito ang kalagayan nila noon at ikinumpara sa tuwa at kapayapaan ng loob na nararamdaman nila ngayong napabilang sila sa benipisyaryo ng Gawad kaling at may matatawag nang sarili nilang tahanan.

Matatandaang una nang itinayo ang GK Housing Project sa Guinlajon bago natapos ang termino ni dating Sorsogon City Mayor Sally A. Lee noong 2004 at ang lupang pinagtayuan ng mga kabahayan ay donasyon ni Mrs. Milagros Duana, ang isa sa mga tinaguriang business tycoon ng Sorsogon. (BARecebido/FBTumalad, PIA Sorsogon)

INDEPENDENCE DAY 2012 PRESSCON – Philippine Information Agency (PIA) in partnership with the Provincial Government of Sorsogon spearheaded the press conference conducted on June 5, 2012 at the Provincial training Hall providing the local tri-media a clear overview of the 5-day activities that would highlight the celebration of Philippine Independence Day 2012. Thirty-three (33) local media practitioners attended the said presscon with eight (8) presenters coming from the Phil. AFP’s Qualifying Examinations for Independence Day Celeb. In line with the celebration of this year’s Phil. Independence Day, the 903rd Infantry Brigade of the Phil. Army initiated the 2-day Qualifying Examinations (officially known as the AFP Battery Test) in Sorsogon City on June 9-10, 2012 catering Sorsoganons who want to join the Philippine Army. Representatives from the Army Personnel Management Center based in Fort Bonifacio were sent by the Phil. Army Headquarters to oversee the AFPBT conducted at the Sorsogon Provincial Gymnasium. PHIL. INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION 2012. Varied activities highlighted Sorsogon province’s 5-day celebration of the 114th Philippine Independence Day catering to the needs of Sorsoganons regardless of age and status in life. A short but meaningful and well-participated program marked the June 12 celebration with a doxology, prelude to the singing of the Phil. National Anthem, Flag Raising Ceremony, Singing of “Lupang Hinirang”, “Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas”, “Pagpupugay sa Watawat” and the Wreath-laying activity of various government and support agencies spearheaded by no less than the father of Sorsogon province, Gov. Raul R. Lee. Prior to the June 12 celebration were the nightly Freedom Concert at the Park, Exhibit of government agencies programs and services, free viewing of Pacquiao-Bradley bout, jobs fair, free blood pressure check-up, massage and haircut, assessment of applicants for scholarships including eligibilities under special laws as well as career professional and sub-professional applications to name a few. AFP’s STATIC DISPLAY AND DEMONSTRATION. AFP’s Scout Rangers here wowed the onlookers during their Static Display and Capability Demonstration at the Capitol Ground, Sorsogon City on June 12, 2012. The team is composed of one officer and 11 Enlisted Personnel which are highly proficient in small unit tactics, airborne, waterborne and jungle mountain operations and training. The team has a Team Leader, Team Sergeant, Operations Sergeant, Intelligence Sergeant, Demolition and Explosive Specialist and its assistant, Heavy Weapons Specialist and Light Weapons Specialist and Medical Specialist. MEDICAL And DENTAL MISSION - 759 inmates of Sorsogon Provincial Jail including elders from Home for the Aged here were benefited during the free medical and dental services in celebration of the 114th Philippine Independence Day in Sorsogon.
