BFP to conduct advance inspection: 2013 one stop-shop program

 By: Bennie A. Recebido

SORSOGON CITY, September 20 (PIA) – The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Sorsogon City spearheaded by City Fire marshal Senior Inspector Walter Badong Marcial will conduct an advance inspection in various business establishments in this city, in anticipation of the yearly One Stop-Shop program of the City government this coming January 2013.

Said program is offered by the city government of Sorsogon to businessmen who will renew their business permits and licenses and is usually done at the beginning of the year at the lobby of City Hall in Brgy. Cabid-an.

“Since Sorsogon City has more or less 2,000 business establishments, we have to maximize our time to inspect all these establishments beforehand considering that we have limited fire safety inspectors,” said Marcial as he instructed his personnel to start the said inspection within this week.

He also said that this will further allow the business owners to process their permits and licenses right away, and for those who have deficiencies to comply.

“We are looking forward that our business owners here will fully cooperate and comply with the implementing rules and regulations of RA 9514 to avoid difficulties or delays of issuances of fire safety inspection certification,” Marcial added.

Marcial said that in case of further information and query with regards to the requirements in processing the Fire Safety Insurance Certificate (FSIC) the office of the BFP in Sorsogon City is located at Amberg, Brgy. San Juan (Roro). (BARecebido, PIA Sorsoogn/MGCoral, BFP)
