PNP-SPPO, DENR-PENRO nagpirmahan ng MOA kaugnay ng pagpapatupad ng NGP

Lungsod ng Sorsogon, Marso 2 (PIA) – Kaugnay ng komprehensibong pagpapatupad ng National Greening Program (NGP) sa ilalim ng administrasyon ng Pangulong Benigno S. Aquino III, nagkaroon ng pirmahan ng Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) sa pagitan ng Department of Environment and Natural Resources Provincial Office (DENR-PENRO) sa pangunguna ni Provincial ENR Officer Forester Rene P. Camacho at ng Philippine National Police Sorsoogn Police Provincial Office (PNP-SPPO) sa pangunguna naman ni Provincial Director PSSupt John CA Jambora.

Ayon kay Police Senior Inspector Romeo M. Gallinera, hepe ng Police Community Relations at Public Information Officer (PIO) ng Sorsogon Police Provincial Office, ang pirmahan ng MOA na ginanap sa loob ng Conference Hall sa Camp Salvador Escudero, Sr. noong Miyerkules, Pebrero 29, ay kaugnay ng pagtatanim ng mga puno ng kahoy sa lalawigan ng Sorsogon alinsunod sa nakasaad sa Executive Order No. 26 o ang National Greening Program ng pamahalaan.

Nakapaloob sa MOA ang gagawing pagtutulungan ng DENR at ng PNP kung saan ang DENR ang siyang tutukoy sa mga lugar na maaaring pagtamnan ng mga kapulisan dito sa Sorsogon.

Aniya, ang malawakang pagtatanim ng mga puno ng kahoy ang isa sa mga programa ng PNP na tinaguriang “Pulis Makakalikasan: 10 Milyonng Puno, Pamana sa Kinabukasan”, kung saan ang bawat kasapi ng PNP ay dapat na makapagtanim ng anim (6) na mga puno ng kahoy buwan-buwan sa loob ng isang taon na magtatagal hanggang sa ika-28 ng Pebrero, 2013.

Pumirma rin sa MOA bilang witness sina Forester Marlene P Rodriguez, Community Environment and Natural Resources Officer (CENRO)  at ang hepe ng Police Community Relations at PIO ng SPPO. Naroroon din sa ginawang aktibidad ang iba pang mga opisyal ng SPPO sa pangunguna ni PSupt Robert AA Morico, ang Deputy Provincial Director for Administration at ang mga tauhan ng Provincial Headquarters ng Sorsogon Police Provincial Office.
